Born in Babruysk, Soviet Union (now Belarus), Gary Vaynerchuk is a serial entrepreneur that is well known for his ‘get it done’ attitude.

Gary immigrated to New Jersey in 1978 with his family, and would begin his entrepreneurial career selling flowers he had ripped from neighbors’ yards, operating a lemonade stand franchise and selling baseball cards for major profit.

Immediately after graduating from Mount Ida College in Massachusetts, Gary transformed his father’s New Jersey liquor store into a retail wine store called Wine Library, growing it from a $3m to a $60m business in just 5 years! His growth strategy included e-commerce, email marketing and aggressive pricing.

In addition to being an exceptional businessman and Youtube star, Gary’s businesses include Vaynermedia – a social media-focused digital agency he founded with his brother, and Vaynerrse – a $25m investment fund with RSE Ventures.

Interesting fact: as an angel investor and venture capitalist, Gary has invested in Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Uber and Birchbox.
