Elad Zvi emigrated from Israel to New York with only $220 in his pocket. Starting off as a dishwasher at the Plaza Hotel is where Elad fell in love with the industry.

After learning the tricks of the trade of the food and beverage business, Elad co-founded Bar Lab, a lifestyle/beverage consulting agency for the hospitality industry in 2009, with Gabe Orta.

Thanks to their award-winning cocktails, the duo launched their first pop-up bar in 2012, Broken Shaker Miami. Its immediate success afforded them the opportunity to turn the 30-day pop-up into a permanent home for their bar. The Broken Shaker has since branched out to locations in Chicago and LA, ranks #14 on the World’s 50 Best Bars, and has won the prestigious best American Hotel Bar at Tales of the Cocktail.
