Co-founder of the events company, Everyday People, Saada Ahmed is a 28-year old Kenyan-born, Somali-Ethiopian that organizes parties and brunches for a living.

After graduating with a degree in economics, Saada moved to New York in 2009 and held various positions in the economics, finance and advertising industries. During these years, she found herself lost and trying to figure out what to do in life. This yearning was answered in 2012, while visiting family in Africa for a few months. Her idea was pretty simple – to have people come together and connect – but would require a hustle mentality, which she luckily already possessed.

As soon as she arrived back in New York, Saada started reaching out to her connections and teamed up with DJ Moma and Chef Roble to launch Everyday People Brunch: a cool, monthly day party that would help uplift and showcase black joy in NYC. From curating the music, menu and guest list, to churning out killer events, this trifecta has grown an immense following within the New York brunch and party scene, and has evolved into also hosting cultural events.

This success enabled Saada to quit her last job, as a Content Director for St. Heron (a compilation album released by Solange Knowles' record label Saint Records), in 2014 in order to dedicate 100% of her time to Everyday People.

These days, Saada has the pedigree of an influential tastemaker, and has answered her calling – bringing people together to celebrate everything good and worthwhile in life…food, good music and beautiful people.
