DJ Khaled, a hip-hop DJ and producer, was raised in New Orleans, Louisiana by his parents who emigrated to the U.S. from Palestine.

A child of musicians, his parents supported his early interest in rap music. Khaled began DJing in his garage at age 13, but would start to pursue his music career full-time while working at a local music store. He then began DJ'ing at MIXX 96, a Caribbean pirate radio station in Miami, and later co-hosted a radio show with Luther “Luke” Campbell (the 2 Live Crew frontman).

10 years in the game, Khaled developed and built his brand, which has involved gathering the best-of-the-best rappers R&B artists to collaborate on every song that has appeared on his 9 studio albums; including Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, Pusha T, Drake, Wale, Future, Chris Brown and many more!
